In our coaching experience, Macquarie's MMI rewards a mature, professional, patient-centred outlook:
Macquarie's Doctor of Medicine is a graduate-entry program of around four years, based at the Macquarie University campus in Sydney, which includes its own university hospital. As a newer program it emphasises modern, integrated and simulation-supported learning with early clinical exposure. Confirm the current structure with Macquarie.
Unlike Commonwealth Supported programs, Macquarie's MD has generally been offered as a full-fee program, so tuition is substantially higher than CSP places at other schools. Because full-fee tuition is significant and changes each year, we do not quote a figure here - confirm current fees, loan eligibility and any scholarships directly with Macquarie.
Macquarie has a strong research and clinical-innovation focus, with research components and pathways available alongside the MD and links to its on-campus hospital and institutes. Confirm current options with Macquarie.
The points below summarise common themes in public student discussion - opinions, not facts, and your experience may differ. Form your own view via open days and current students.
For the full entry pathway - GPA, admissions tests and prerequisites - see our Macquarie medicine entry requirements guide.
